I have been signed up on the 2/3rd site now for a couple of years and think I posted on one occasion. My father John Carr served with the 2/3rd throughout the war and was a sort of unofficial photographer for the battalion. He died in 1985 and spend a considerable time in his latter years organising his photos. I know he managed to send some sets of prints out to some of his old comrades but I am sure most would not have seen them.
I am keen to meet up with any who are still alive and see if they might recognise some of the faces and places so that I might provide at some stage the War Memorial with an annotated set.

Anzac Day March Sydney 2014. Only one original left who was able to march, Jim Fawcett. Jim travelled down by train from the Central Coast. Thanks to Peter Bannigan for his usual expertise with the camera.
A little something we gave Tom on Anzac Day to help him explain to people who his grand pop is and what he did. As our WWI have passed and our WW2 pass on its important we find a way to help them continue to march as they have done in the past. I’ld like to think the families of 2/3 BN who are members of this page could get together and do something for all those brave men in 2015. Thoughts?

They are up at Carlington near Channel 7 in Epping and love seeing the posts and photos. Both were very touched that they haven’t been forgotten.
